CERTAIN CURE
Former television journalist Jennifer Valoppi -- former NBC 6 anchor and a Beach resident since 1997 -- has a new book out: Certain Cure: Where Science Meets Religion (Murray Hill Press, $16.95). The novel, Valoppi's first, is about a woman dying of cancer and a mysterious doctor from China who arrives to cure her.
''I took real ancient Judeo-Christian prophesies and wove them into an end-days thriller,'' said Valoppi, 47. ``The book poses the question: If man is on an eternal quest for immortality, when he finds it, does the search for God become irrelevant?" Read More.
